01/31/14 – Featured Item of the Day –

On this date in 1950, U.S. President Harry S. Truman fired up the Cold War by publicly announcing his decision to support the development of the hydrogen bomb, a weapon theorized to be hundreds of times more powerful than the atomic bombs dropped on Japan during World War II. To commemorate this glowing, radioactive moment in time Jim’s Toy Box dug this one out of the future (It’s a pre-order!). Here he is ladies and gentleman Missouri’s favorite son and 33rd President of the United States, Harry S. Truman!

Pay your respects to this pioneer of the Cold War without having to travel all the way to Independence, MO!

So show love and respect for the man who may have launched the Cold War but remember without it we never would have had a reason to “kill a Commie for mommie!”
